Terms of Service
NeedsMet, Inc. · Effective October 22, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and NeedsMet, Inc. ("NeedsMet," "we," "us") and govern your use of Lyseeka (lyseeka.com), the surveys created with it, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The short version. The Service is free. In exchange, you give NeedsMet broad rights to use the information you and your survey respondents put into it — including your Lean Canvas, target customer, survey questions and responses — for any lawful purpose, including research, building products, and sharing it with our program partners and in aggregated insights. We do not sell it. Do not put anything into the Service that you are not willing to have used this way.
1. Who can use the Service
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create an account. If you use the Service for a company or organization, you agree to these Terms on its behalf and confirm you have authority to do so.
2. Your account
Give us accurate information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Tell us at timk@needsmet.org if you think your account has been used without permission.
3. The Service is free
We do not charge for the Service. In exchange, we may use and analyze the data described in Section 5. We may add, change or remove features, add paid features, or stop offering the Service at any time.
4. Your content and your responsibilities
"Your Content" means everything you or your survey respondents submit through the Service, including your account details, idea titles and descriptions, Lean Canvas content, uploaded files and images, target customer descriptions, survey questions and settings, survey responses, analysis results, and any Knowledge Base material.
- You keep whatever ownership rights you have in Your Content, subject to the license you grant us in Section 5.
- You confirm you have the rights and permissions needed to submit Your Content and to grant us that license, including for anything your survey respondents submit.
- When you share a survey, you will not hide or remove the notice we show respondents, and you will not tell respondents their answers are private or used only by you.
- You will not use the Service to collect information from children under 13, Social Security or other government ID numbers, financial account or payment card numbers, passwords, precise geolocation, or health, medical, genetic, biometric or similar sensitive information, and you will not ask respondents for it.
- You will follow all laws that apply to you, including privacy, anti-spam and consumer protection laws.
5. Our rights to use and share data
You grant NeedsMet, Inc. and its affiliates, successors and assigns a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, fully paid and transferable license to use, copy, store, analyze, modify, combine with other data, create derivative works from, aggregate, de-identify, display, publish and disclose Your Content, in any form and through any media, for any lawful purpose. We may extend this license to the companies that help us operate the Service and to our program partners, only so they can work with us. This includes, without limitation:
- operating, improving and promoting the Service and our other products and services;
- research, market analysis, benchmarking and reporting on startups, industries and customer behavior;
- developing and training software, models and other technology, including artificial intelligence;
- sharing Your Content with startup programs, mentors and advisors you work with, such as Springboard;
- publishing aggregated or de-identified insights, statistics and reports that do not identify you; and
- transferring it as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets or similar transaction.
This license continues after you stop using the Service or delete your account, for any Your Content we have already used, shared or incorporated into other data or products. We will handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy and as required by law, including honoring opt-out and deletion rights where the law gives them. We do not owe you any payment, credit or notice for any use of Your Content.
We do not sell Your Content or personal information. If that ever changes, we will update these Terms and the Privacy Policy and ask for your agreement before selling anything you submitted.
Confidentiality. The Service is not a confidential place to store business ideas. We do not promise to keep your idea, canvas, survey or results confidential, and we are not bound by any nondisclosure obligation to you unless we sign a separate written agreement saying so.
6. Survey respondents
People who answer surveys do not need an account. Before they answer, we tell them their responses may be used and shared by the survey creator and by NeedsMet, including for research and publication, with a link to our Privacy Policy. Submitting a response means they agree. Survey creators may see responses to their own surveys, including any email addresses respondents choose to give.
7. Acceptable use
You will not:
- break the law, infringe anyone's rights, or use the Service to harass, deceive or harm anyone;
- send spam or use survey links in unsolicited bulk messages;
- upload malware, or try to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts or our systems;
- scrape, copy or resell the Service itself, or interfere with how it works;
- use the Service to build a competing product, or misrepresent who you are or who a survey is from.
8. AI features
Some features use artificial intelligence provided by third parties to read uploads, suggest content and analyze responses. AI output can be wrong or incomplete. Review it before relying on it. Your Content is sent to those providers to produce the output.
9. Our property
The Service, its software, design, methodology content, Knowledge Base and branding belong to NeedsMet and its licensors. These Terms do not give you any rights in them except to use the Service as allowed here. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access, remove content, or close your account at any time, for any reason, including if we believe you have broken these Terms. Sections 4, 5 and 9 through 15 survive termination.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT PROMISE THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE, SECURE, UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT YOUR CONTENT WILL BE PRESERVED. THE SERVICE IS NOT BUSINESS, LEGAL, FINANCIAL OR INVESTMENT ADVICE.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, NEEDSMET, INC. AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THESE LIMITS, SO THEY MAY NOT ALL APPLY TO YOU.
13. Indemnity
You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless NeedsMet and its officers, employees and partners from any claims, losses and costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from Your Content, your surveys, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or of any law.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Spokane County, Washington, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Each party waives any right to a jury trial and to bring or join a class or representative action, to the extent the law allows.
15. Changes and general terms
We may change these Terms. If a change is material, we will ask you to accept the new Terms before you keep using your account. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and NeedsMet about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them, including in a merger or sale.
